TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I’m 22 from Kogi state, Nigeria and I love cosplaying.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER COSPLAY?
I needed a niche as a content creator and my friend who is also a cosplayer, randomly suggested it to me that I should give it a try and I did.
DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR?
Sachi hime, onigiri girl, ohmali, animako, and my fav minisemaan

DESCRIBE COSPLAY & WHAT INSPIRES YOUR OUTFITS?
Cosplay is just recreating a character from a movie, cartoon or anime etc. But for me cosplay helps me express myself in a amazing ways and my outfits are basically just inspired by the characters I cosplay.
IF YOU HAD TO PLAY A CHARACTER FOR A DAY, WHO & WHY?
I honestly don’t know which character honestly Lol. That’s a difficult one, but I enjoy every character I cosplay each day like I am that character cause cosplay isn’t about wearing the outfits it’s about perfectly being the character in that outfit.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
Most Nigerians don’t even know what cosplay is. So I don’t get a lot of engagement. Plus getting the materials and props in nigeria is impossible so I have to make them myself one way or the other cause it’s super expensive to order especially when you’re not really getting money from it
IS THERE A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE IN YOUR CRAFT?
Yes LOL. That’s the one of reasons I keep cosplaying, their words are kind and they also share my content a lot.
MOST CLICHE THING YOU’VE COME ACROSS IN YOUR FIELD?
The normal hate and some Nigerian creators and people telling me to stop cosplays cause no one understands it in this country
MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?
Me looking at what I created and be proud of myself that I was able to pull that off. It always gets me everytime I put on a new cosplay & stand infront of the mirror I just feel so proud. That I’m doing some so beautiful, artistic and unique
ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
More people recognize cosplay so we can at least get incentives form it to do more daring and beautiful cosplays.
