TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
My name is Tolulope Daniels Adebayo. I’m a student of the University of Lagos. I’m an Event Host and I love music so much.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?
It’s always been my thing, I’ve always wanted to talk. Then I discovered you could do that for a living from a family friend, so I took it up.
DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO?
Oh yes. Babajide Guerrero, Sheye banks, @thelivewire__ @tosanwilts on Instagram. They put me on and through things in the business.

WOULD YOU SAY YOU’RE A SPECIALIST OR YOUR BRAND IS DIVERSE IN YOUR FIELD?
Diversity, that’s the selling point of my brand. I can do a lot of things. I host corporate events, raves, red carpets, radio shows, TV shows.
MENTION YOUR TOP THREE FAVORITE KINDA EVENTS?
Weddings, Concerts, Raves!

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
There’s a lot of disrespect given to my craft around here. Literates and illiterates; everyone accords us some level of disrespect, but we’re gradually getting what we deserve.
DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN HYPE MEN?
I guess so, I mean one of my mentors is a hypeman. @Do2dtun also is always available to give me lessons, Livewire too, Tosan Mac too. So yea, but it can still be better. There’s limited space to pop in the industry so most people feel like it’s a competition to get the limited spaces. Not the people I surround myself with anyways.

WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?
The joy and vibe I give to people at events. Seeing that my energy is contagious and moves people and they have fun, that is what I live for, why I do this. The money is rewarding too.
WHAT’S THE MOST ANNOYING THING YOU COME ACROSS IN YOUR FIELD?
Mostly for club hypemen. It annoys me when people walk up to me while performing for shoutouts.
ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
The respect we deserve. I hope I can be able to bring that.
