Randa Eissa

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I’m Egyptian, born in Saudi Arabia. I’m a singer, a song writer, a fashion model, a belly dancer, an entrepreneur. I own 2 pizza restaurants in Egypt, a fashion line in Nigeria with 2 brands, one designer brand that I design myself called Randivie & the 2nd one is a retail branch called Berry Aura.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?

I turn everything I love doing to my work. I simply followed what I desire since I’m young & that’s how I knew which path to follow. I’m born to be a star.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE AS A DANCER?

Initially I’m a singer, singers dance on stage & so I added belly dancing to my career, it’s fun, sexy, challenging from all angles & I love challenges.

A MEMORABLE EVENT FOR YOU AS A CREATIVE?

New year 2022 in Lagos, Nigeria, in Spice Route. I sang there, celebrated the countdown then I belly danced. Seeing the audience reaction was really a sweet joy.

YOUR CHALLENGES AS A CREATIVE?

I’m a very strong person so I won’t mention negative people talk that may destroy a weak or a fragile person. My only challenge is working on myself constantly even though I’m a very busy person, trying to combine my artist life & my entrepreneur life. It’s very difficult but I’m working on it always.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?

Society has positive talk & negative talk. I turn negative talk to funny, cheerful & make it positive. For my business I turn customers from angry to happy customers with being generous.

IS THERE A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN DANCERS?

I fly solo, I don’t socialize with other dancers as my parties are a one woman show.

MOST CLICHE THING YOU’VE COME ACROSS IN YOUR FIELD?

Arab society opinion about Belly Dancers. But do I care for anyone’s opinion? I do what I want & I don’t care about who says what. If u don’t like me, don’t watch. If you judge me, keep judging, words don’t stick to you.

MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?

Money!!

ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?

Everything I do needs improvement always. There’s no limit to self improvement.
