TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I’m better known as Charmee fit. I’m a fitness personality. I train people to meet their desired goals. It could be weight loss or body building. Seeing people around me working out which has also been a personal interest of mine.

DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO?

Sincerely, my aunt is my mentor. Growing up, I saw her workout a lot and this grew my love for it. I love how strong she is and I can’t wait for us to workout together again.

In our society, female physical trainers are looked down on compared to their male counterparts because it is often said to be a masculine activity. I am hoping for a change in the future.

DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE FOR TRAINERS?

There seems to be a good atmosphere for trainers but here in Nigeria, women have to work twice as hard in other to gain recognition like their male trainers due to societal standards.

Omg people have said the most ridiculous things but the one that I have heard the most is when people say “Are you lifting weights so you can beat your husband up?”

My clients results. It excites me to see them excited about how far they have come and how heir bodies have changed.
