TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
My name is Roselyn John, from Delta State. I’m a serial entrepreneur, crafter, model and first child of a family of 6.

WHAT KINDA MODELING DO YOU DO & WHAT DROVE YOU TO DISCOVER YOUR KIND OF CRAFT?
I’m an editorial model but I do a bit of beauty/commercial modeling. Started modeling back in 2017, joined an agency in ’18, and met the best manager anyone could have. Started researching and learning the papercraft and origami online. From there I started making and styling myself for shoots.
DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO?
Yes, he’s the CEO of Rocks School of Modelling, known as Rocky. Also trained there too.

TELL US ONE THING WE WOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU.
Wow i don’t know ooo, i am a free spirit and an old soul.
IN YOUR OWN WORDS DESCRIBE FASHION & WHAT INSPIRES YOUR PERSONAL STYLE.
To me fashion is about confidence and it defines you. People meet your fashion sense before they meet you. It depicts your personality and lifestyle. That’s why you see rockstars dress the way they do.

WHAT WOULD YOU PREFER A SIMPLE OR FLAMBOYANT LOOK?
I love both looks depending on where I’m going to and who I wanna impress. I love crazy and out-of-the-norm.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE DESIGNER & PHOTOGRAPHER, IF SO WHO?
I love @lovefromjulez on Instagram, she is a designer and no favorite photographer.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
Most people have lost who they are in other to become what the industry portrays as trendy. Also, society should accept that in as much as culture is paramount, not everyone can dress their culture and express themselves through that fashion sense.
WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A MODEL?
The attention and recognition when the money starts rolling in and you get asked for your rates instead of collaboration when you now see it as a full time job instead of a hobby.
MENTION ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY.
The idea of modelling for upcoming models. It is beyond a hobby but a school. You need to be willing to learn different courses and carve a niche for yourself.
