My name is Esther. Folks call me Z! or Gen Z short for GENZCHEERLEADER I’m a libra, born on the 8th, I have a Dog called Echo, Cockapoo breed. I’m fully Urhobo from Delta State, Nigeria.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?

I started acting at age 13 doing musical theater then I rediscovered acting professionally during Miss Nigeria UK, embracing the thrill of becoming new characters and advocating for life’s pivots.

WHAT INSPIRED THE BRAND NAME?

GENZCHEERLEADER emerged from triggering global events during the pandemic, including George Floyd’s case, shaping my mission to reinvent the future and advocate for community and future skills. PS: Yes!, I did also cheerlead in high school.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR CREATIVE INTERESTS?

Prioritising client work based on brand alignment, purpose and mission. Managing expectations based on time commitment, capacity and rapport.

YOUR CHALLENGES AS A CREATIVE

As an avid problem solver, remoteness and cultural adjustment pose challenges; however, I believe in overcoming any obstacle with the support of my team, faith and adaptability.

HOW DO YOU PERCEIVE THE CURRENT CREATIVITY AND TECH SPACE IN YOUR SOCIETY?

In the ‘CreaTech’ domain, merging creativity and technology, I’m documenting Africa’s promising CreaTech ecosystem set to grow, projecting a $180 billion digital economy by 2025.

A MEMORABLE PROJECT AS A CREATIVE

When I was an athlete at age 15, I was a 200m Hurdler and by age 18, I already had 15+ Medals to show for it. What I learnt from this is to know your strengths & focusing on being the best version of yourself.

DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE WITHIN YOUR INDUSTRY?

There’s a march of progress; I believe in my own community which I build around me, with people who I vibe with and we have similar missions, energy etc.

MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?

Impact, philanthropy, community development. We do this to change lives and create meaningful stories that live forever through generations.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE?

WORLD DOMINATION. Imma start a whole fiesta!
