I’m an actress based in Lagos, Nigeria. I’m also an accounting student of Lagos state University. I’m popularly known as Bimpe on the Mnet series “My siblings and I”.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?
When I started attending auditions and kept getting picked. Them picking me told me I had something that I didn’t know I had.
DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO
I don’t have an actor as a mentor but I do have my favorite actors. Outside the film industry my mum is my mentor.
ANY PARTICULAR ROLE YOU ENJOY PLAYING?
I enjoyed playing “Grace” in a film titled EYIMOFE for various reasons.
TELL US ONE THING WE WOULDNT KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I’m a non-judgmental person and I believe in people doing whatever works for them and makes them happy.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
The society is a big contribution to the film industry in so many ways. Without the society there’s no film industry. They’re just as powerful as the industry itself.
DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE IN THE FILM INDUSTRY?
Yes, there’s a big support system in the film industry. Support from your fellow actors, support from every other aspect of the film industry. We all have to support each other to grow. Without support there’s no growth. The Nigerian film industry is definitely growing so that shows there’s a big support system in our industry.
MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?
Being loved and acknowledged by people when they see your work. Appreciation from people goes a long way. It means we’re doing something right.
MOST CLICHE THING YOU’VE COME ACROSS IN YOUR FIELD?
Non-actors calling our job easy and not a real job. I beg to differ.
I think I’d like creatives to be paid their worth. We are all working hard and I’m not just talking about actors, from the actors to the DOPs and everyone involved in film making, we should be paid our worth and not underpaid.
ONE THING YOU HOPE TO CHANGE IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
There should be value in everything film
