TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

Stylish Sinner is a 24 year old photographer and aspiring filmmaker who loves to rave to House Music and is the twin brother to a creative genius

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?

Been evolving as a creative tbh. I started out as a stylist and fashion designer. I model occasionally, cameo in music videos, short films but photography surprisingly came right after I left University.

DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR?

Lateef @lasalvy on Instagram has always been there for me from the very first day I said; “Lati I want to be a photographer.

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORKS?

I believe we as humans have our souls moving within and around us, and being able to photograph those emotions is just as important as photographing the physical story behind an image. Where people see a blurry image I see a spiritual, soulful, surreal story.

DESCRIBE YOUR KINDA CONTENTS?

Euphoric Photoartgraphy. I work mostly with shutter speed manipulation, double exposure and photo manipulation (once in a while).

WHICH ASPECT IS DEMANDING; STARTING OR FINISHING A PROJECT?

Setting up a shoot can be a breeze sometimes and other times it’s like everything is about to fall apart. Finishing is more often a breeze for me.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?

My society has since left photographers to fend for themselves. Tbh I don’t think photographers get enough credit for how much they figure it out by themselves. The real question is if there’s actually an industry.

IS THERE A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN PHOTOGRAPHERS?

If we don’t support each other who will? I’m grateful to a lot of my friends who are photographers. I wouldn’t be at this stage without support from them.

MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PHOTOGRAPHER?

It’s the sheer joy you get from knowing that you captured a moment that will never be forgotten because of you & seeing the surprise on my clients face.

ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?

I hope to mentor a ton of Next Gen photographers and hopefully they prove that you can make it by being different from the crowd.
