2006, I was following an international brand called Evo2k championships and wanted to affiliate with them so i decided to call my brand Naija Game Evolution

DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO?

I got my ideas from a movie called “The Wizard” it showcased a Super mario bros 3 tournament, so i really have no mentor in the industry

PERSONALLY WHICH ASPECT IS DEMANDING; STARTING OR FINISHING A PROJECT?

Starting a project is difficult due to lack of funding and competent teams, but if you can get both then you can finish it easily.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?

Esports will open new doors to the Nigeria youths, giving job opportunities as they become pro gamers, game devs, animators, online content producers and so on. It’s going to be one of the positive factors to put in Nigeria on the global map as we have talented young people here that will greatly benefit from the gaming industry.

DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN GAMING N COMIC BRANDS?

There is, but not in Nigeria or Africa yet many international brands have invested finance and stories in the gaming industry that has bridged a gap between both genres and allow them have the same kind of target audience

WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?

The fact that I’m able to touch the lives of some people with my content and events and also create opportunities for individuals to become something is satisfying

Tournament oganizers that have no idea of what esports is and are just there to make money, some of them have even forged association for Esports
