TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
My name’s Adediran Adeoluwa, I’m an environmental biologist turned photographer.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?
I dare say photography is in born for me. My first family portrait was taken of my family when I was only 7 years old, I was the only member of my family missing because I was behind the camera. Being an environmental biologist further seals it, because we are trained to study and preserve things in nature people tend to overlook. All I’ve just loved was capturing and sealing time in a timeless frozen capsule.
DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO?
No, not really. I have many people who I admire

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORKS?
Nothing specifically, anything can. Light and perspective of light, context, beauty, hope and even backstories.
IN YOUR OWN WORDS DESCRIBE YOUR KINDA CONTENTS?
I would say my content are variegated like the leaves of a pride of Barbados which makes me beautiful. My content shows that I have a passion for capturing beauty in whatever form it comes, regardless of niche.

PERSONALLY WHICH ASPECT IS DEMANDING; STARTING OR FINISHING A PROJECT?
Oh wow! Starting is exciting, when doing the work could take out your back, but finishing takes the cake. It is the most demanding for me.
HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
Nigerians as much as most people say otherwise, don’t appreciate art. Art is subjective and it predicated mostly on understanding a wide range of subjects, hence a falling reading culture plays a deep role in many individuals not appreciating our art and culture.

DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN PHOTOGRAPHERS?
I believe so.
WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PHOTOGRAPHER?
The look on people’s faces when they receive their projects. It’s priceless and keeps me going.

ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
I’ll love to tell others that you stand out better by telling your own stories and encourage them to belief they can be as good as they wanna be.
