I’m originally from Anambra State but currently based in Lagos. I have a profound passion for Special Effects (SFX) makeup artistry.
HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?
I began my interest in 2016/17, starting with beauty makeup. My passion for special effects (SFX) makeup ignited while watching American movies, where I marveled at the intricate makeups. My curiosity led me to keep learning until it became my true calling.
DESCRIBE BEING A SFX ARTIST?
As a SFX artist, I find creating prosthetic pieces and crafting fake injuries to be an highly enjoyable aspect of my work. I love the challenge of improvising while ensuring safety & adherence to best practices. It’s a thrilling combination of creativity, artistry, and meticulous attention to detail.
WHAT ARE CORE CREATIVE QUALITIES TO DO YOUR CRAFT?
In summary I’ll say it requires creativity and imagination, patience, resourcefulness, improvisation and lastly passion.
WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES AS A CREATIVE?
As a creative, I’ve encountered challenges like material accessibility, time constraints on set, creativity blocks, and the crucial skill of managing feedback and navigating feedback, criticism for artistic growth.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
When it comes to availability of materials, we don’t have sfx stores in Nigeria to get products, and it often makes it difficult for me to create.
DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE WITHIN YOUR INDUSTRY?
In the entertainment industry as a whole, we tend to have animosity and you are left to bring yourself out, so there is no big support, unless from referrals and loyal clients
