Hey, I’m Adesope, a 27-year-old mixologist and content creator from Ekiti State, now in Lagos. Captain of the Omuti Express community, youngest in my family, and lover of mixing drinks, movies, and plenty of sleep. Living the soft life!

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT

As a child, I got into mixing drinks by combining Coca Cola and Fanta. My friends trusted me to order their cocktails, so I took a mixology class, won the DIAGEO Bar Academy scholarship, and started creating drink content. After which my passion for mixology grew deeper.

It’s hard when brands see me as too small and turn me down. But hearing “no” motivates me to aim higher. If they don’t pay me thousands now, they’ll pay me millions later.

What sets me apart is simply me—no one loves drinks and crafting cocktails like I do. My path empowers me to make drinks like nobody else.

There’s a misconception that mixologists drink all day, but no one is a more responsible drinker than we are.

My all-spice cocktail is super popular, made with a secret syrup blend and the best boozy iced tea. Maybe I’ll share the recipe one day!

WHAT’S THE MOST UNUSUAL INGREDIENT YOU HAVE USED IN A COCKTAIL

I’ve used dried pepper and soy sauce, among other unusual ingredients.
