TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I live in Lagos and am passionate about gymnastics and pole dancing. I work as a Project Manager and run WovenbyTega, creating unique crochet pieces.
HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT
I discovered pole dancing four years ago when a friend and I decided to explore a vacancy for a pole dancing instructor at a local studio. We taught ourselves through YouTube tutorials and supported each other’s progress. My gymnastics background made it easier for me to master the moves, and my journey from a curious beginner to an instructor was transformative.
TELL US ABOUT BEING A GYMNAST
I started in 2012 after watching the movie “Make It or Break It”. I was captivated by the flips, artistic nature, and competitive spirit. Discovering that gymnastics was a sport in Nigeria, I knew I had to try it, and I’ve been passionate about it ever since.
