TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I’m a contemporary artist who finds inspiration in everyday life—conversations, laughter, and the simplest things.
HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT
I first discovered my craft in primary school, starting with drawings in my exercise books that evolved into larger designs on walls—a transformative journey.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR STYLE OF ART
The world around me inspires my contemporary art style.
WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES AS AN ARTIST
Creating the perfect piece can be tough due to self-doubt and handling criticism. I overcome this by building confidence, staying true to my vision, and viewing feedback constructively.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST CHALLENGING ART SO FAR
My most challenging piece was a large mural I was contracted to complete after another artist. It was physically and emotionally draining but rewarding.
WHAT WAS A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AS AN ARTIST
A memorable moment was receiving a call to create a mural on a massive bridge for a dream brand collaboration—one of my most rewarding experiences.
HOW DO YOU MANAGE CREATIVE BLOCK AS AN ARTIST
I manage creative blocks by taking breaks, exploring new mediums, and seeking inspiration from other sources.
HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY
Nigeria’s rich culture provides endless inspiration, but economic instability, limited funding, and lack of formal support hinder the industry. Private sectors drive our modern and contemporary art, but more government support is needed.
WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO
The most rewarding parts are the smiles I bring to clients, the impact on society, and my personal growth.
ONE MESSAGE YOU WANT TO PROMOTE WITH YOUR ART
Be your most authentic self always.
