I’m a Nigerian animator and illustrator. I have been drawing for as long as i can remember, i have made comics and animated series and i hope to make an award winning animated movie soon.
WHAT DROVE YOU INTO DISCOVERING YOUR CRAFT?
I’ve always been a fan of cartoons growing up and i felt drawn to these characters and always wanted to create my own version of them, as time went by i started to create original stories and characters and the possibility of creating a cartoon that a child would one day watch and admire became more and more possible with each new skill i acquired.
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORKS?
Wanting to give myself an escape from reality inspires my work, my fantasies and those of the people aroun me inspire my creativity
DO YOU SPECIALIZE OR DIVERSIFY IN YOUR FIELD?
I have a day job, animation and illustration was a passion and hobby that became a side hustle and i hope it will eventually become my full time profession
HOW MANY GAMES/CLIPS HAVE YOU MADE AND WHICH IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE?
I’ve mostly worked on my animated series ORISA: Prince Kori and a few viral animation short comedies

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
When I decided to start making short comedies my theme was ‘relatable content’ so society played the biggest role in the creative process.
DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN ANIMATORS?
Seeing as i have not really had any experience with game devs i would say the support atmosphere could use a lot of work
WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING AN ANIMATOR?
Getting to bring smiles to people’s faces with your work and seeing aspiring animators begin to believe that they could actually create their own content.

Story telling and visual effects, I hope to one day raise the bar on story telling and visual effects in the industry
