TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
I would like to remain anonymous however I’m a black male of African heritage between the ages 25-35.
HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT?
I have always been creative in many forms of art like music, photography, drawing, and others. I randomly thought of the idea to make a puppet show while playing with a toy puppet a few Christmases ago. I took some time to develop the thought then started writing the show.
DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR?
No, I learn from whoever I can. However I like GaryVee & Jordan Peterson.
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR CONTENTS?
Anything I have seen in my life. The show is comedic entertainment and comedy is often a reflection of real life situations. TV shows like “The Chapelle Show, Robot Chicken & Family Guy” definitely have an influence on the show structure, video games and internet culture in general.
ONE THING WE WOULDNT KNOW ABOUT YOU?
It’s a one man show. I write, storyboard, film, voice act, puppet, edit & design everything and I personally run all social accounts. Only about 4 people know I’m the one behind the puppet.
HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR CREATIVITY?
Comedy is often a reflection of real life or like an exaggerated magnifying glass on society. The content comes from me and my brain, I’m a product of my society & environment.
IS THERE A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE IN YOUR FIELD?
Depends on each individual. There are people who truly love & care about puppetry as well as creative content. I have no particular love for puppetry in particular its just the medium I currently use to be creative. Still, it has been great so far.
MOST REWARDING PART OF WHAT YOU DO?
People’s reactions, comments, & laughter. Knowing I genuinely made people laugh or be happy. I love seeing ideas I have in my head manifest & come to life.
MOST CLICHE THING YOU’VE COME ACROSS IN YOUR FIELD?
I guess tiktok & reaction videos, its cliche but I’m not knocking it. Sometimes you gotta get with the times.
ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
I want to improve myself first
