TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I’m born and raised in Nigeria by a Turkish father and Nigerian mother. I’m a self taught game designer.

WHAT DROVE YOU INTO DISCOVERING YOUR KIND OF CRAFT?

The major motivation for me was the technological innovation of mobile phone games. I realised they were created by a small team of people with a certain level of skill in game dev. I decided I also can give it a shot.

IN YOUR OWN WORDS DESCRIBE WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORKS?

Works and designs of Concept artists, illustrators, comic book artists and 3d artists. Also various video games and movies.

DO YOU SPECIALIZE OR DIVERSIFY IN YOUR FIELD?

I mainly specialize in Art and design.

HOW MANY GAMES HAVE YOU MADE AND WHICH IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE?

I have worked on two personal projects and presently working on a third. I’d say I’m still very young in the field to have a remarkable experience.

PERSONALLY WHICH ASPECT IS DEMANDING; STARTING OR FINISHING A PROJECT?

Ahahah! It’s actually in the middle. The actual production phase. Where your skill is really put to test the and the project goes through a lot of creative and technical changes from the initial plan. Finishing stages are usually a series of minor adjustments & testing.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?

In this society, we’re more of a minority. It’s not common place to randomly meet someone in the field. We also get a hard time being understood and internet is our major learning aid.

DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE BETWEEN GAME DEVS?

Yes, the creative community is very small and we are practically still under the same umbrella.

WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A GAME DEV?

Peace of mind. I’m able to do what I’m passionate about and make a living from it. It’s not always easy to get that in life.

MENTION ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?

Quality of work, although this requires time, effort and an endless desire to do better than the former. Eventually the individual effort we put in will grow into something reputable.
