TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

My name is Anonyuo Sandra. I love anything art which explains why I’m a face/body artist. I’m also a professional dancer and aspiring actor.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR CRAFT

Had a dance competition in my final year and I realized I wanted to be different from every other contestant. I surfed the internet and found a face design which I replicated on my face and from that day, I got addicted.

DO YOU HAVE A MENTOR, IF SO WHO

I have a few artists that inspire me. Like Mimichoi @mimles , @cakefacerj , @designdain and few others on Instagram.

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORKS

I’m inspired by other people’s works, my experiences and the society at large.

IN YOUR OWN WORDS DESCRIBE YOUR KINDA CONTENTS?

Looking at what drives my art, my contents are inspiring, impactful and captivating.

PERSONALLY WHICH ASPECT IS DEMANDING; STARTING OR FINISHING A PROJECT?

Both are demanding because, you start and finish right; so your work turns out as envisaged. Basically, finish with the same energy and patience you started off with.

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOUR SOCIETY AFFECTS YOUR INDUSTRY?

The society most times doesn’t really regard your art till you become extremely good so you got to be tenacious and determined. On the other hand, it also drives people into discovering their talents.

DO YOU FEEL THERE’S A GOOD SUPPORT ATMOSPHERE IN THE ART INDUSTRY?

I do not feel there is enough support for artist in Nigeria. Speaking generally, I feel there should be awards designed specifically for the art society in recognition for their crafts. This way everyone would aspire to become better.

WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING AN ARTIST?

When your work turns out just as you wanted it, being appreciated and properly valued.

ONE THING YOU HOPE TO IMPROVE ON IN YOUR INDUSTRY?

I would love to teach and mentor fellow artists and create appropriate awareness for them.
